sACN/Art-Net output limitations are hardware based and not software based with regard to PIXERA's capabilities. Maximum universes in PIXERA are theoretically unlimited with our internal testings having gotten up to 12,000 universes.
Users are more likely to hit a limit on their NIC before any issue occurs in PIXERA. PIXERA limits the maximum bandwidth to 300Mbit/s upload. Outputs were tested in unicast mode. If 2x Gigabit ports are used for parallel output then the bandwidth is splut to approximately 150Mbit/s on both outputs.
Tests have been run with ArtNetominator with the following results with stable frame rates using a resolution of 350px x 350px
| Number of Universes | Target FPS |
| 750 | 60 |
| 1200 | 40 |
