When projection mapping in any software, it is helpful to know some common techniques for achieving the most accurate projection possible.
Camera Calibration workflows, like VIOSO, will perform many of the steps, but there is still setup and execution required for the software to work as intended.
Below are a few recommended articles from the VIOSO team for projection mapping in general, and especially when using VIOSO.
PIXERA & VIOSO
For any needed information on the VIOSO integration with PIXERA, reference the below articles from both websites:
Free Mode
If working with multiple projected walls, floors, and ceilings using standard cameras (no fisheye lens), reference the article from VIOSO on what is considered Free Mode. An example would be for Immersive Rooms.
Project Mode
If working with a Cylindrical Panorama setup of projectors/walls and using a fisheye lens, reference the article from VIOSO on what is considered Project Mode.
Dome Projection
When performing projection on domes, it is highly recommended to use a Camera Calibration solution like VIOSO due to the complexity of the setup. The two above articles can help point to the correct setup.
Otherwise, please reach out to VIOSO for any questions on its usage with domes.
