The PIXERA Server Reset function is available starting with the Windows 11 IoT LTSC 24H2 image release and is compatible with the following systems:
- PIXERA zero
- PIXERA one/two Gen.2
- PIXERA four
- PIXERA four Gen.2
Overview
This procedure restores the server to its factory state by deploying the official recovery image using PXImager in recovery mode.
⚠️ Important:
All data on the selected system disk will be erased during this process.
Procedure
1. Access Advanced Startup
- Click Start → Power.
- Hold down the Shift key.
- While holding Shift, click Restart.

The server will reboot into the Advanced Startup menu.
2. Open the PIXERA Reset Tool
- Select Troubleshoot.
- Select Pixera Reset.


This will launch PXImager in recovery mode.
3. Deploy the Recovery Image
Navigation inside PXImager:
- Use Arrow Keys (↑/↓) to navigate.
- Use Enter to confirm selections.
- Use Arrow Keys (←/→) where indicated.
Steps:
- Select Deploy and press Enter.
- Select the desired Recovery Image and confirm with Enter.
- Navigate through the next menu using ←/→ and confirm with Enter.
- Select the System Disk from the list of available disks and confirm with Enter.



4. Confirm Deployment
An overview of the pending changes will be displayed.
- Press Enter to start the reset process.
- To cancel, select No using ←/→ and confirm with Enter.
5. Automatic Restart Option
You will be prompted to choose whether the system should restart automatically after installation.
Automatic restart is recommended.
- Press Enter to enable automatic restart.
- Select No to disable it and confirm with Enter.
6. Installation Process
The recovery image will now be deployed to the selected disk.
- After deployment:
- The server will restart.
- Windows setup will begin automatically.
- Multiple restarts may occur.

⚠️ Do not interrupt the installation process.
Installation may take several minutes.
Completion
The reset process is complete once:
- The server boots successfully.
- The Windows desktop is visible.
The system is now restored to factory settings.
