If you like to jump between different points on the Timeline using the Fade to Time or Fade to Cue methods, 
you will always fade the entire Timeline. 
If you have an image, live input or something similar on your timeline that you don't want to fade, you can exclude these fades on specific layers.

You can find this checkbox in Layer Settings / Setup / Render Properties - Checkbox "Exclude from Automatic Fades". 

In the layer inspector it can be excluded from automatec fades.

The layer then will not fade on:

• on a Jump with Fade Time
• Fade to Cue
• Fade to Time
