In addition to the limited options provided by the native GUI autostart, a control action offers a much more flexible alternative, enabling the creation of complex and customized startup sequences using logic.
There are several ways to quickly and easily create a Pixera autostart scenario using Control.
Startup
Autostart Pixera
Autostart for Pixera and/or Presence can be easily set up via the Pixera hub. →AutoStart Pixera, Presence
Startup Control Action
This is a reliable way to call an action only once after startup.

A custom Module is used with a custom action (Does not contain any code).

This is saved on a global basis for all projects.
Tip
If necessary, a Delay module can be added after the start() action, in case some of the connections or drivers are not available directly after startup.
Shutdown
Using the Event Scheduler, a daily shutdown can be scheduled—for example, at 5:00 PM. Before the shutdown, all connected machines are shut down via the Pixera Hub module. (Can also be done via Live System Controls but only if connected via Presence) Powering the systems back on can be handled using Wake-on-LAN (WOL) or IPMI, allowing both PIXERA and all connected machines to start automatically.
There are many possible configurations: for example, shutting down all systems and reboot the Director to keep the control system, or using the Event Scheduler to wake up clients at specific times before automatically starting the show.
