Adapter aliases are used in Control in Multiuser Scenarios because different adapters need to be configured.
For example, System A might send data from Adapter 192.168.1.10, while System B sends from Adapter 192.168.1.20. In multiuser or backup situations, the configuration of individual modules cannot simply be copied over 1:1, as the adapter settings would not match. Adapter aliases solve this problem by allowing logical names to be used instead of fixed adapter addresses.
Setup
Navigate to Settings→Control→Edit Adapter Aliases

An adapter can now be entered here, this name should be the same for all systems, only the IP address should point to an existing adapter of the current system.
These settings are not transferred with multiuser and must be set separately on the systems.
Pixera must be restarted to display this new adapter!
After this step, you can choose your Alias in Adapter settings of each Module.
With adapter aliases enabled, Control can point to different adapters on different multiuser machines.
This ensures that each system uses the correct adapter configuration, even when module settings are shared or transferred between machines.
